Astral Adhesives products range from customized Epoxy-based adhesives which give excellent strength and bonding characteristics for specialty applications, to commodity adhesives based on cyanoacrylates, elastomers, PVA, etc.
It was started in 1987 as a company manufacturing epoxy resins. Adhesives were added to the product range in 1993; based on excellent quality control and R&D facilities, a range of adhesives were developed taking various application areas into consideration.
Resinova started as a company manufacturing specialty chemicals. Over the years, Astral Adhesives (formerly Resinova), has evolved as a leading manufacturer of adhesives and sealants, and construction chemicals. Astral Adhesives also produces industrial maintenance products. There has also been significant effort on branding. This has brought increase in market share in all segments that the company operates.
The types of Adhesives available on Astral
As a part of the strategy to strengthen business, considerable backward integration has been achieved. A manufacturing and formulation expertise in the field of epoxy resins and hardeners, acrylics, UV Cure, cyanoacrylates, silicones, anaerobic, etc. has also been developed.
Astral Adhesives manufacturing units are at present at three locations in India. The units have excellent infrastructure for production, R&D and quality control.
The spirit of innovation at Astral Adhesives extends to all activities such as packing, branding, product and market development. In a very short period, Astral Adhesives has created a supply chain network of 800 channel partners, serviced by 11 offices covering every region of the country. Astral Adhesives products are available at more than 4,00,000 retail outlets. In order to fulfill customer needs, Astral Adhesives markets products in about 60 brands, 700+ S.K.Us and 4 lac retailers. This complex effort was made possible through a very large number of dedicated workers. Astral Adhesives has trained marketing staff, operating from all the geographies in the country.
